These terms apply when you use Webukit or subscribe to it. Please read them before you start a trial. By starting a trial or a subscription you agree to them.
The short version
- 7 days free. You add a card to start, and it is not charged during the trial.
- After that it is billed yearly, in advance, and renews every year until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from Billing in your account. You keep access until the end of the trial or of the year you have paid for.
- Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing. Once a year is paid for it is not refunded, in whole or in part.
- Subscriptions here are sold to businesses. Private customers get their own separate agreement.
- Do not use Webukit to pretend to be another business, or to collect people's passwords or card details.
1. Who we are
Webukit is run by Outfit AI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16392274). In these terms "we" and "us" means Outfit AI Ltd, and "you" means the business using Webukit. You can reach us at hello@webukit.com.
2. Who Webukit is sold to
Webukit is software for running a business: bookings, payments, a shop, events, memberships, loyalty cards and a public page at yourname.webukit.com.
Subscriptions bought on this website are sold to businesses. By subscribing you confirm that you are acting for a business and not as a private consumer, and that you are allowed to agree to these terms on that business's behalf. On that basis, the cancellation rights that consumer law gives to private individuals buying online do not apply to a subscription bought here.
Private customers. If you are a private customer, or you want us to build, set up or run something for you, please do not subscribe here — get in touch instead and we will put a separate written agreement in place for that work. That agreement is independent of these terms: it stands on its own, these terms do not apply to it, and it does not change these terms for anyone who subscribes on this website.
3. The free trial
- Your trial lasts 7 days from sign-up.
- You need to add a card to start it. We do not charge the card during the trial.
- If you have not cancelled by the end of the trial, your first yearly payment is taken on the day the trial ends.
- If there is no valid card when the trial ends, the subscription ends instead of renewing.
4. Price, billing and renewal
- Webukit costs £49 a year, or $49 or €49 depending on where you sign up. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
- It is billed yearly, in advance. We may show it as a monthly equivalent, but it is only ever charged once a year.
- Your subscription renews automatically each year on the date of your first payment, and we charge the card on file.
- Payments to us are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- If we change the price, the new price applies from your next renewal, and we will email you at least 30 days before then.
5. Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time from Billing in your Webukit account at app.webukit.com, or by emailing hello@webukit.com.
- Cancelling stops the next payment. Everything keeps working until the end of your trial or of the year you have paid for, and then the subscription ends.
- Until that date you can undo the cancellation from the same Billing page.
6. Refunds
Payments for a web subscription are not refundable. This applies to everyone who subscribes on this website, including a private customer who signs up online.
In particular, we do not refund, in whole or in part:
- a change of mind after the trial has ended;
- cancelling part-way through a year you have paid for;
- not using Webukit, or using less of it than you expected;
- time left on a year after you cancel — you keep full access until the end of it instead;
- an account we suspend or close because these terms were broken.
The 7-day trial exists so that you can decide before any money is taken: cancel before it ends and you are never charged. If we close your subscription when you have not broken these terms, we may refund the unused part of the year.
Nothing here takes away a right you have by law that cannot be given up by agreement.
Chargebacks. If you think a payment is wrong, email hello@webukit.com first and we will look into it. Raising a chargeback with your bank instead may get the account suspended while the bank decides, and we will give the bank our record of your subscription, cancellations and use of the service.
7. Payments you take from your customers
Payments from your own customers — deposits, bookings, shop orders, tickets and memberships — are processed by Stripe and paid into your own Stripe account, and Stripe's own terms apply to them. What you pay in fees depends on the kind of Stripe account you connect:
- Stripe Standard (what Webukit sets you up with by default): Stripe charges you its processing fees directly, and Webukit takes no fee.
- Stripe Express (if you choose it instead): a single fee of 3.25% + 30p is taken from each payment. It covers Stripe's processing fee, so Stripe does not charge you separately.
You are the seller to your customers. You are responsible for your prices, your own cancellation and refund policies, and for handling any disputes with your customers.
8. Your account and your web address
- Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Your web address (yourname.webukit.com) stays ours to manage. We may refuse, change or withdraw an address that could be mistaken for another business, brand or organisation.
- Give us accurate details, and keep your contact email up to date so our billing emails reach you.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use Webukit, or your Webukit pages, to:
- pretend to be another business, brand, bank, government body or person;
- collect passwords, card numbers or other sensitive details outside the payment flows Webukit provides;
- publish anything unlawful, misleading, hateful or harmful, or anything you do not have the right to use;
- send spam, or message people who have not agreed to hear from you;
- sell anything illegal, or break the rules of Stripe or of the app stores;
- interfere with Webukit, test its security without our written permission, or try to reach other accounts.
If we reasonably believe an account is breaking these rules, we may take content down and suspend or close the account straight away, without a refund. Where we can, we will tell you why.
10. Your content and your customers' data
Your content — your logo, photos, services, prices and text — stays yours. You give us permission to host and show it so that Webukit can work, including on your public pages.
You are responsible for your customers' personal data under data protection law, and we handle it on your behalf to provide the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how, including how long data is kept.
11. If a payment fails or your subscription ends
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will try the card again. If it still cannot be paid, or your subscription ends, we may suspend your account. That includes your portal and your public booking and shop pages. We do not delete your data just because a payment fails or a subscription ends, so if you come back you can pick up where you left off. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time, as our Privacy Policy explains.
12. Keeping Webukit running
We work to keep Webukit available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. We improve Webukit over time, so features may change. We will not remove anything central to what you pay for during a year you have already paid for.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, bookings, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us for Webukit in those 12 months.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email the account owner at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
15. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
